The Fit Brit is a blog made by a group of fitness nuts who just love everything about eating good, pounding pavement, pumping iron and eating healthy. We're not pro athletes or bodybuilding champions - we're regular people with regular jobs just like you - we just love to get after it with our fitness goals and want to take you with us!
We believe the best investment you can ever make is in your health, and that a healthy body leads to a healthy mind and a healthy life. Through this site we hope to reignite a culture of fitness and show people that even if you only have 15 minutes a day, that's still enough for you to invest in some exercise and make a real difference to your life.
We come from all walks, from personal trainers, to bodybuilding junkies, to marathoners, to martial artists, to Ironman triathletes. We hope to share whatever knowledge we have gained on our fitness journeys to help you improve your health, little by little, one day at a time. Our hope is to make every soul in the UK a true Fit Brit!
Who we are:
Steve is a fitness author, ISSA certified sports nutritionist and personal trainer. He has written columns for magazines such as Hardcore Muscle, Fitness, Carblite and Men's Health. As a former gym owner, he's our expert on gym equipment, strength training and all things heavy!
Brendan is our guy for all things endurance! He has run numerous marathons around the world, and was a finisher at Ironman New Zealand in 2020. When it comes to anything re swimming, biking or running, he's the guy. He is also a certified sports coach and an avid surfer and martial artist.
Lucas is our expert on all things martial arts. Starting with roots in karate, he's since developed a passion for Muay Thai and MMA. He has been training in MMA for over 10 years, in several gyms in the UK and Thailand.
Jess puts together all the content for one of our most popular sections: Yoga! She is certified as a yoga teacher in both Ashtanga and Vinyasa disciplines. She is also a semi-pro capoeirista and currently based in Brazil.
Sydney is an avid hiker and runner, and lifelong ballet dancer. She's our expert on all things dance. At Fit Brit she educates people on different dance styles, techniques and clothing, and how to include dance into part of your fitness routine.
With finishes at both the London and Paris marathons, Michal is one of our long distance running experts. She's also our go-to for everything on women's running and women's fitness in general.
